WELCOME BACK EVERYONE

Happy New Year everyone! I am very grateful to the Almighty for allowing us all entry into the New Year. I pray for His protection and guidance throughout the year in all our endeavors.

This site has been undergoing a major reconstruction for several months now and I feel very privileged to welcome you all back to a new and improved site for your shopping convenience. We at Pharmacy Express and Medical Supplies appreciate your loyalty and patience during this period of inactivity. We will do whatever it takes to make up for that break in service which was totally unavoidable.

YOU ARE FAMILY

With you in mind, we will always strive for the best service. Our motto in this regard is always, “The Best or Nothing”. That’s what family members do for each other. “It takes a village” We take pride in what we do. Ours is Pharmacy with a difference. If there is anything you are looking for and can’t find it anywhere, including this site, please contact us here or call us @ (407) 273-0021 and we will gladly help in tracking it down for you. Remember, once family, always family.

HEALTHY TIP/ADVICE FOR THE MONTH

Don’t forget to get your Flu shots. It always helps. Prevention is always better than cure. I know that some argue that getting a flu shot made them come down with flu, a condition they have never experienced in years. That might be true. It’s like arguing that because the cost of education is so high, your children will not go to school. That might be true too but have you ever considered what the cost of ignorance in their lives would be? Devastating! PLEASE GET A FLU SHOT, ASAP. Remain Blessed.

Ask Our Pharmacists

Send your pharmacy questions regarding your health concerns to our knowledgeable pharmacists for answers and professional advice.

Whether online or in person, you can count on your knowledgeable PharmacyExpress pharmacists to help you with any questions you might have about your medical conditions or treatments. No appointment during regular store business hours. As licensed health care professionals, they adhere to the same rules of privacy and confidentiality as your doctors and other health-care professionals. They also have extensive training, which makes them experts about your medications.

Ask Our PharmacistsFactors to consider when taking medications

These include:

  • Allergies
  • Medical History
  • Possible Interactions (between medications and/or foods)
  • Over-dosing or even under-dosing
  • Polypharmacy
  • Family and Safety

Keep your pharmacist informed about any changes in your personal medical profile, and share information about any over-the-counter (OTC) medications, herbal remedies, vitamins, or dietary supplements you might be taking.

Your pharmacists at PharmacyExpress are always accessible and at your service. They will not only fill your prescriptions but help bring clarity to some of your pharmacy cross-word puzzles concerning:

  • Availability of a less expensive generic substitute of your meds
  • Possible common side effects, warnings, contraindications, or interactions associated with your medications
  • Safety of your meds during pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • What to do if you experience side effects from the medication
  • How closely together you can take some of your medications
  • Which tablet or capsule you can or/not crush or open for easier dosing/swallowing
  • What if you miss a dose, what happens?
  • What to do with expired medications
  • Use of compounding to get the appropriate dose your doctor prefers
  • Leaving your medicine in the glove compartment of your car or bathroom etc.

Your pharmacist can offer suggestions to help you remember when to take your medications, choose appropriate OTC products for your condition and help you navigate the above scenarios.

Make sure you understand the information on your prescription label, including the product name (generic or brand name), and are clear about how to follow the instructions. You should also know the size, shape, and color of your medications so that you can be sure that you are getting the right medications.

Ask your pharmacist if you notice any differences in the appearance of your medications, either at the time they are dispensed or during the period when you have them at home. In addition to recommending products or suggesting that you follow up with your doctor, your pharmacist can also help you monitor your own health with devices that can easily be used at home. Your pharmacist can suggest the most appropriate device for you and teach you how to use it properly. We want you to use your medications safely and effectively.
